NZ Mariner – Available on LINZ website from 1 July 2008

NZ Mariner is the official LINZ Raster Navigation Chart folio and may be used by the professional mariner to fulfil carriage requirements for marine navigation.

Raster Navigational Charts (RNCs) are raster copies (scanned images) of the New Zealand paper charts and can only be used on compatible viewing software, either an Electronic Charting System (ECS) or an Electronic Chart Display & Information System (ECDIS).

NZ Mariner will be distributed via the LINZ website from the 1st of July 2008 as a no-cost download and consist of 2 encrypted files; 1 annual file and 1 monthly update file. NZ Mariner can be found at www.linz.govt.nz/hydro/nzmariner.

These files provide mariners with up to date charts including all Notices to Mariners, new charts and new editions as they are produced
